The best thing I’ve found so far for discount truck tires is simply asking. I said in another article about how I was getting ready to buy some new truck tires and I went in and just by chance asked if they were going on sale soon. The guy told me to wait a couple of weeks and they were going on a 4 for the price of 3 discount!
Now, other than asking your dealer straight up when they will be going on special, here are some other ways and places to get discount truck tires.
Check the flyers when you go into the big stores like Canadian Tire or Walmart. You can also check their websites every week. Because of their size and buying power, these big chain stores often have discount truck tires around the time that the seasons change and people are looking to switch their tires up.
Another thing I use is a simple google search with a twist. Do the google search for discount tires but with the name of your city after it. You’ll often end up at a general discount tire location that has an outlet in your city and then you can go through the site navigation to find the truck discount tires if they have any on special.
One place I like is www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com because they show you the discount truck tires price and then the usual MRSP which stands for the Minimum Recommended Selling Price. This is usually a pretty good indication of what everyone else will be selling the tires for regularly but not always. So make sure you compare the same models at different locations to make sure.
I’ve had mixed results trying to find discount truck tires with the ads on the right hand side of google searches. Even though they will say discount truck tires actually bolded in the ad, when I clicked on the majority of them, there was none to be found. What usually happened was I ended up at a tire store with no regular vs discount prices to be seen. I found this totally frustrating.
Lastly, give the good old yellow pages a shot. Don’t try to find “discount truck tires” but look under “Tire Dealers And Distributors” and in there you will find wholesale as well as used tire dealers. So if you just want tires for cheap and don’t care if they are used or not that may be an option. Actually, while we are on the cheap tires train, check this out. Give your wrecking or junk yard a call and see if they have anything that will work on your truck. Sometimes brand new trucks get messed up in an accident but the tires are fine. Sometimes you can get a real score this way.
On a side note, you’re here looking for a great place to find discount truck tires so if you do find a place other than what is listed here, throw a brother a bone. Seriously, if you found out a great place, share it with the readers of this blog and we’ll throw you a high five. You can even feel free to give your business a plug here.
